Global Grassroots Season Preview: Middle School Edition ft. Coach Fletcher

We are starting our Huntsville City, Madison County & Madison City Schools season preview with our area middle and high school coaches. We will be getting the inside scoop from the head coaches on what to expect and look forward to this upcoming season. We also added some fun questions to see what kids keep the coaches on their toes.

Coach Justin Fletcher - Monrovia Middle School

Ricky: What are your goals for this season?

Coach Fletcher: Continue to develop these young men on and off the court; 20 win season; County Championship; Have kids called up at the end of the year to play freshman and JV.

Ricky: Can you tell a difference in your players from last to this year?

Coach Fletcher: We've matured a lot as a program and have some dawg that I don't think many people expect to come from Monrovia.

Ricky: Are there any 7th grade players that you expect to have a breakout season?

Coach Fletcher: Khamari Lawson, Will Holden, Kaidyn Snead

Ricky: What was your record last year?

Coach Fletcher: 18-5

Ricky: Who are your key returning players?

Coach Fletcher: Everyone

Ricky: Is there a game you think your players are looking forward to with all the social media fun going on?

Coach Fletcher: Liberty for 8th grade and McNair for 7th

Ricky: Is there a player or players you played against last year that stood out to you?

Coach Fletcher: Jacob Spilar on Liberty, Cortez Hudson from McNair, and PG from Sparkman Middle
