Global Weekly Report: Nov. 13-18

With all the high level hoops going on in Alabama, we like to keep up with the top performers in the state. While searching for top performers in each game, we found it wasn’t a central location you could find standouts from week to week. So we created it. We decided to highlight some of the top performances on a weekly basis.  Please help us, help you, while shining light on some of these top level performances.  This is simply based off of who did what. 2024 PG Abethany James added an efficient 14 points. She looked good coming off her injury and is gaining confidence in each game she play. She did a crossover, step back move that gave glimpses of the old NeNe. It’s so good to see her getting back to herself. She’s definitely going in the right direction.


2025 PG Fred Derrick helped lead Buckhorn to a win against Grissom scoring 22 points. Fred is a pass first point guard that understand how to control and manage the game. This was huge for the young veteran guard who is easily one of the higher IQ players in the state. This could be the start of something big for the young junior PG.


2024 SG Janiyah Bone (Birmingham Southern commit) had a big performance against Hazel Green scoring 24 of the teams 37 points; also grabbing 6 rebounds. She has been out with a injury early but came up big in a huge game for the patriots. When they all get rolling at the same time they will be primed for a state championship run.


2025 SF/W Kaden Rickard put up 23 points and 15 rebounds against Sparkman and added 16 points and 9 against Buckhorn. Rickard’s is on the brink of opening up a lot of mid major offers if he continues his progress.


2026 W Khloe Bradley added 18 points for Sparkman in a win over James Clemens. She has a really bright future. She has really good length and versatility.



2029 CG Traye Haywood had 11 points, 11 rebounds for Monrovia in a close loss to a scrappy McNair squad.


2024 PF Caleb Harrison went down to Montverde Academy and had himself a huge game. 27 points and 7 rebounds against the #1 team and the #1 player in the country. The Samford commit showed he’s prepped and primed for the next level.


2025 PG Caleb Lightford added 17 points and 3 assists for Sparkman in a loss to James Clemens.


2029 CG Josh Thomas helped lead Whitesburg to a win against Champan. He finished with 21 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block. He’s been on one as far as middle school basketball goes. He’s currently one of the top players in the state and it looks as if he will be moving up soon.


2025 SG Simon Walker added 15 points and 6 rebounds against the #1 team in the country. Simon is currently one of the top kids in the country and rated as a 3 star recruit. He has some of the top colleges in the country vying for his services.


2028 SG Grayson Gibson helped Monrovia secure the win against Huntsville Jr High. Grayson had a game high of 18 points knocking down six 3’s with one being in the last 20 secs of the game to give his team a 2 point lead. He knows his role and he played a heck of a game.


2024 PG Jamya Griffin had a really good showing being a real leader and floor general with 9 points and 11 assists in a 20 point win for Sparkman over James Clemens.


2028 CG Blake Bell helped Monrovia secure the win against Journey finishing with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, 1 block. Blake continues to show why he deserves to be amongst the top ranked players in the state. Though its early he has been one of the most consistent scorers in the 256 while also getting big wins.


2025 SG Noah Gorman had himself a game in a big win over Sparkman filling the stat sheet with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assist for James Clemens.


2025 SG London Townsend is averaging 14 points in his first two games after the football season ended for James Clemens. The more he play the more comfortable he will become. He can really be a huge piece for the Jets.


2024 PF/C Laryn Scott had 13 points with 6 rebounds for Sparkman in a win over James Clemens and is a mismatch with her size and ability to shoot the three.


2024 PG Bryce Mason added 10 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals for James Clemens to help seal the deal against Sparkman.


2029 W Chase Hurt led Buckhorn in scoring in wins this week against Liberty (11 points, 4 steals, 2 assists, 2 rebounds) and Sparkman (14 points, 4 steals, 1 assist, 1 rebound). He continues to show his all around game.
